WORSHIP LEADER Job Description
This individual has a passion for connecting people to God through worship music and connecting volunteers to serving on the worship ministry at Manchester Christian Church. This person need not play an instrument but must have some musical training and must be gifted musically and vocally as they lead worship and work to develop musical volunteers. They must have a heart for the unchurched, work well in a team, be creative, collaborative, warm and outgoing, familiar with and enthusiastic about emerging worship, and comfortable in a leadership position in worship.
• Spiritual growth, evident by a life committed to seeking and saving the lost • A commitment to the core values and beliefs of Manchester Christian Church • An appreciation for a variety of worship styles and ability to implement them • Quality organizational skills, communication skills, problem-solving skills • A minimum of 2-3 yrs experience in leading worship music • Ability to play a musical instrument, preferred • Experience directing musicians and vocalists • Ability to lead and develop volunteers
Staff Relationship • Reports to Manchester Campus Pastor • Works closely with Creative Arts Pastor, Worship and Production Staff • Part-time not to exceed 20 hours per week. • Practice Matthew 18 and show 100% support in all decisions made as a team
Weekly Responsibilities: • Lead worship at the MCC Manchester Campus • Schedule, prepare volunteers for worship services • Design and deliver worship practice files and Ableton files for volunteers • Attend staff meetings and ministry gathering
Additional Responsibilities include: • Participate in Audition process • Attend NEXT> at assigned campus • Participate in planning and executing special events and Campus events • Complete projects assigned by Creative Arts Pastor and Campus Pastor
