This individual has a passion for connecting kids and families to God and connecting volunteers to serving in the children’s ministry at Manchester Christian Church. They must have a heart for the unchurched, work well in a team, be creative, collaborative, welcoming to people, familiar with and enthusiastic about the curriculum used, and comfortable in a leadership position.
Reports to the Family Life Director and the Campus Pastor.
Full-time 40+ hours per week.
Practice Matthew 18 and show 100% support in all decisions made as a team.
Be a biblical and spirit filled Christian, ascribing to the vision and beliefs of Manchester Christian Church.
Spiritual growth, evident by a life committed to seeking and saving the lost.
Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
Quality organizational skills, communication skills, problem-solving skills.
Lead the children’s ministry of a specific campus.
Recruit, train and build a volunteer team.
Contributes to campus goals and vision with the campus pastor.
Connect with volunteers weekly and develop a leadership team.
Edit and prepare curriculum for an assigned age-group.
Participate in projects assigned by the Family Life Director.
Schedule and communicate with volunteers weekly.
Participate in ministry-specific events.
Meets regularly with the campus pastor and campus team.
Complete a variety of weekly administrative tasks.
Attend staff meetings and other team meetings.
Skills and Abilities
Education level of either a college degree or equivalent training and experience.
Able to work from a laptop and use basic computer programs.
Ability to lead, guide and correct volunteers.
Able to communicate effectively from stage to a large group format.
